Things you can do with your hands aka DIY

I love DIY! The proud look on my face when something is done says it all. Since I haven't been doing much lately - I've been really busy and as you know not in the best of moods - I think I was so happy to find these amazing ideas below via 91 Magazine in Issuu. Inspiration will be back and I glitter my entire flat haha!
As I am about to go on holidays, a little late this year, I want to share these last thoughts with you, a little something to inspire you as well.

And since school's about to start, why not redecorate your home office or your children's study area with lots of colors and little cute deco items. Remember this? Is there a better time for a remodeling than now?

What ever you do, enjoy these last summer days and I'll be back with new ideas very soon.

(Thank you all for your support)

No more excuses...

Hi there. I hope you are all having fun, enjoy your summer and hopefully the sun.

I always talk to people about decoration (I can be quite annoying!) and I always insist on how we can all have cute little decorations in our houses without spending a fortune. After all, there is a designer hidden in all of us and with a touch of flair we can do wonders.

Idea no1: There are so many websites where you can buy inexpensive art and designer items for a much better price. Try fab.co.uk or fab.com, http://www.achica.com/userregistration.aspx, onekingslane.com for new ideas everyday - that's how I got my new Phillip Starck stool for a very affordable price!

Idea no2: Re-shape, re-paint, re-do everything. Paint an old lamp, use acrylic colors to color all you are bored off, buy cheap frames and paint them as you please. The choices are endless.

Idea no3: Use paper to create your new piece of art. Do you remember my pom-pom? I was so proud of it. I still keep it in my bedroom for a cheerful note. But how about the following ideas? And remember... no excuses! It will only cost you a pound/euro/dollar and it will look fab. And you can do it while on holidays too!

See you soon - still not sure what I'll be doing, lots of changes on the way, that's for sure :)

Summer 2013...

These past few days have been really lovely here in South UK. No rain, bright sunshine and high temperatures - combined with humidity mmm... It's such an enjoyable change. It reminds me of my home country and I absolutely enjoy it.
As I am going through a period of changes in my life (I feel like I need some), I won't be blogging as often as I did - I promise I will be back in September (after my so long desirable holidays) with many new ideas - even a new blog perhaps!

I want to thank you all for your support and for visiting my blog, please like my facebook page to keep in touch.

Until the next time, I will leave you with these amazing new finds: Colorful chairs from Cult Furniture and even more colorful ideas from Rice. I ordered my new candleholders and pots from Rice today, I will show them to you once they are here.

The fun is never over...

Summer is the best season. For many reasons - which we all know, the sun, the hot weather, the colorful clothes, HOLIDAYS, the sea. But there are some less obvious reasons that make Summer what it really is: FUN! Like inflatable animals and pool floats. I love them - they are so funny and I feel like a little child again.

Urban Outfitters has the perfect collection of inflatables and pool/sea floats to turn you into children as well.

I want them all - and a pool to go with them lol

Hello Colour - you are most welcome in my little flat!

Oh sometimes, surprises like this really make my day.
Zuiver is a Dutch company that creates the most amazing furniture - colorful, trendy with a touch of retro and some hints of nature. How beautiful and inspiring. Comfy? I don't know, who cares...

Here some of my favorite items. I know, this is too much - but today I feel like this. I don't really care about harmony and care more about celebrating the crazy side of life. I will probably change my mind tomorrow though haha...

I really fell in love with the pink and yellow school chairs and the amazing tables.

Which items would you choose for your house/flat?

I a-d-o-r-e you!

Adore magazine has millions of ideas to share - plus a very interesting and modern shop with the latest trendy decorative details. If only it wasn't in Australia. However, ideas are international and I found these amazing items that I wanted to share with you. How about combining colors out of the box? Pink with blues, gold and white, green with yellow... I adore them.

Which one would you prefer?

Morning Surprises

How would you feel if while you are drinking your morning coffee you realize that there is a worm at the bottom of your mug? Don't panic. I am only referring to these amazing mugs I found in Etsy. They hold a little surprise for you - at the bottom of each mug a different ceramic shape.

Aren't they adorable?

DIY: Pom Poms make the world a better place!

I absolutely love Pom-Poms. I think it's the best way to decorate any room - from a bedroom to a wedding venue - with practically less money than you could ever wish for! Following this very helpful tutorial I made this lovely pom pom to decorate my bedroom and add more color. I only used tissue paper (bought it from Paperchase), some old ribbon and staples. It's so easy and fun!
And if tissue paper doesn't come in handy, you can always use old newspapers. Here's a tutorial here.

(Say hello to my bunny!)

Hello Office Supplies!

Do I say it often enough? Well I do, but it's the truth... I want all of them!!!

The most amazing stationery and desktop accessories can be found in Poppin. Aqua Blue, Purple, Green, Bright Yellow, Black and White... all in there for you to choose.

I personally adore the Aqua Blue line - I will definitely place an order for a stapler, a tape dispenser, a pen case, a set of pens - and maybe add a white tray for contrast.

Which ones would you like to have?

And the best part? There are some freebies for you to print and enjoy!

My bathroom is turning blue!

Urban Outfitters US is my little new obsession! They have the most amazing stuff there - from furniture to accessories. I really liked their bathroom accessories - as I always think that bathrooms are neglected due to the lack of nice and original accessories. That's changing as the years go by... More and more websites add bathroom accessories to their range, so try something new! Redecorate your bathroom!

My favorite? Aqua Blue of course!

Would you try this?

A Cheerful Dining Room in L.A. - part 2

Let's revisit this amazing and cheerful dining room in LA.

We wouldn't want to use any simple and ordinary cutlery or dining plates, therefore we created a little "trip to Disneyland" serving set for this happy couple.

All plates have different colors, yet they match perfectly for our purpose. Mix and match = my favorite decoration idea. Bright colors, simple cuts and no patterns (we didn't want to overdo it). Cutlery with plastic handles, decorated with patterns and flowers (from amazon). Place mats from IKEA.

And as a centerpiece, we created a small garden! We used old jars from sauces and filled them up with colorful flowers in bright colors - try to match the plates for a harmonious result.

I absolutely love this dining room, many thanks to Chrissy for her help in this one - I am really proud !!
